Kyle Orton blasts Titans defense, Finnegan for being 'cheap'

Tennessee Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan(notes) aspires to be the dirtiest player in the NFL. According to Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton(notes), he's already near the top.

After the Broncos 26-20 win on Sunday, Orton blased the Titans defense and Finnegan in particular for playing "cheap" football.

As reported by The Tennessean:

"You always hear about how tough they are and all that stuff. I don’t think they are tough. I think they are cheap, and it was one of the cheapest games that I’ve ever seen out of some of those players. I thought the refs did a good job of keeping it under control.

"It's ridiculous. If that is the type of player Cortland Finnegan wants to be, then he is a cheap player - he is not a good player."

Orton was particularly peeved with a play in which Finnegan appeared to punch off the helmet of guard Chris Kuper(notes).

Finnegan boasted earlier this season of his aspirations to become the dirtiest player in the league. In an NFL players poll conducted last year, he ranked sixth in the category. If Kyle Orton gets a ballot this year, Finnegan may get closer to his goal.
